This is Mrs. Lorenza Newton;  she is the fabulous wife of Mexican film director Guillermo del Toro, actually ex-wife. Her ex-husband is notably known for directing films like Blade II, Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth, Pacific Rim, Crimson Peak and more recently the Shape Of Water starring Sally Hawkins.

53-year-old Lorenza Newton Pineda, cousin of famous Mexican singer Guadalupe Pineda was born in Mexico on March 11, 1964; she met Guillermo in 1985, while they both attended Guadalajara School of Science, from where Lorenza studied veterinary.

After dating for over a year, Lorenza and Guillermo eventually tied the knot in 1986, in Guadalajara. They have two beautiful daughters together; Mariana & Marisa.

Furthermore, in addition to veterinary, Lorenza is a film director; in 1986, she was the art director and script supervisor of her husband’s short film Doña Lupe.

Moreover, Lorenza and her family left Mexico almost 20 years ago; they moved following the 72-days abduction of her father-in-law.

Guillermo and Lorenzo split up in February 2017,  eventually divorced in September. Some people suggested Guillermo could be dating screenwriter Kim Morgan, his date at the Oscars.
