Meet Susan Cambell Mott

Susan Cambell Mott is the woman who gave birth to presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders’ son. According to new reports, the 74-year-old had a secret love child in the 1960’s and actually tried to cover it all up.



Sanders’ chances for the White House have been placed under a shadow as new questions arose as to why the self-described Democratic Socialist has kept his complicated early love life secret for so long.

Susan Cambell Mott gave birth to a son, Levi Sanders on March 21, 1969. Radar Online got hold of Levi’s birth certificate which states, his mother is Susan Sanders. The document also shows Susan’s maiden name as Susan Cambell Mott. Though the couple might not have actually tied the knot, they certainly shared some kind of hippie love affair which resulted in the birth of Levi Sanders.

Bernie was first married to wife, Deborah Shiling but they ended in divorce after a two year marriage. It was after his divorce he allegedly met and lived with Susan Mott.

By 1988 Bernie tied the knot with second and current wife, Jane O’Meara. Bernie instantly gained three children, from Jane’s previous relationships; though his Senate and campaign biographies state he is a father of four, when in reality he is a father of one and also has three stepchildren.

Susan Mott and her son, have stayed out of the spotlight, however, Levi reveal to People Magazine in January that Sanders was anything but a father figure.

“When I was a little kid, I started with B. Then it was Ber and then Bern and now it’s Bernard. Or the Bernster. I’ve never called him Bernie. And I never have called him Dad,” “Even when I was six years old, I thought it was childish. He was a friend, not an authoritarian.”

All reports about Sanders have previously said that Levi was the result of Sanders’ first marriage, although the name of his first wife has never before been revealed.

Susan Cambell Mott, now a days goes by Susan Mott Glaeser. She is married to German immigrant Hendrik Glaeser, who has run a sign-making business in Burlington, Vermont’s largest city, for some 30 years. According to the Daily Mail. Her husband, Hendrik Glaeser runs family business, Glaeser Signs.

According to Levi’s LinkedIn profile, he currently works as a social security disability insurance senior analyst at Boston-based Cambridge & Somerville Legal Services, handling insurance claims in disability cases for both children and adults. Levi also worked as a consultant for his father’s 2006 Senate campaign, organizing campaign meetings and drafting papers on social security, health care, housing, and other social service issues. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon, receiving a B.A. in history in 1992.

Levi appeared on stage next to his father, when he announced his run for the U.S. presidency.
