Debbie Toler is Allman Brothers guitarist Dan Toler’s Wife

A sad news was reported this day to the music industry Dan Toler the former guitarist with the Allman Brothers lost his battle to Lou Gehrig’s disease at the age of 65, Dan is survived by his beloved wife Debbie Toler and their daughter Danielle.

Debbie Toler’s beloved husband Dan Toler a legendary guitarist was born in Connersvile, Indiana on September 23, 1948, he was in his 30’s when he became of the most popular guitarist playing with Dickey Betts & Great Southern. Then in 1979 and until 1982 along his brother Frankie he joined the Allman Brothers.

After he left the Allman brother he joined his brother, John Townsend, Mark Pettey and Bruce Waibel in their band Townsend Toler Band, Toler then follow Townsend who along George McCorkle, John McKnight, Taylor Sarasota and Jack Hall became the The Renegades of Southern Rock. His last music project came in 2009 with Townsend  when they created the Toler/Townsend Band.

Dan Toler passed away in his sleep at the age of 65 after a long battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease and ALS February, 25, 2013 in Sarasota, Florida.
