Bruce Paddock has been identified as the younger brother of mass murderer Stephen Paddock –the 64-year-old man who killed 59 and injured over 500 others at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas on October first.

Bruce’s older brother made history after the Las Vegas shooting became the deadliest in US modern history. The older Paddock has turn out to be a bit of a mystery; those who knew him said he, showed no signs of mental illness, extreme political views or an unhealthy interest in guns. He liked to gamble, and had bounced around over the years, living in Southern California, Texas and Nevada. But he seemed to have plenty of money, and had held steady jobs as a mail carrier, accountant, auditor and apartment manager.

Apparently nobody would’ve thought he could have carried out the carnage from a hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, but he did.

Since then, it has been revealed his father, Patrick Benjamin Paddock was a high-profile bank robber who was on the FBI most wanted list in the 1970s and was described as psychopathic in an arrest warrant.

Now according to TMZ, Bruce Paddock is apparently the one who followed into their father’s footsteps. According to court docs, Bruce has a long list of crimes and he is no stranger to the justice system. His arrests include charges on criminal threats, arson, vandalism, petty theft, burglary, weed, driving on a suspended license and contempt.

57-year-old Bruce Paddock currently lives in California but in the past, he was convicted of petty theft with a prior, and vandalism. According to a social media profile, he attended John H. Francis Polytechnic High School and has also lived in Santa Barbara, California.

Bruce, who said during an interview he hadn’t talked to Stephen in about 10 years, said his brother made money through apartment buildings, which he owned and managed with his mother, who lives in Florida. He spoke well of Stephen saying he was a law-abiding citizen who never did anything violent prior to the shooting. Bruce added “I don’t know how he could stoop to this low point, hurting someone else.”

Stephen Paddock who took his own life before police came to his room at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, is survived by his mother and two brothers, Bruce and Eric Paddock (pictured above next to Stephen Paddock).

Eric Paddock, who lives in Orlando, Florida, told media that the family had “no idea in the world.” He also added that he was “dumbfounded” by the news.
