Shannon Williams
Shannon Williams was the seventh and final wife of Gregg Allman. The legendary rock musician co-founder of The Allman Brothers Band who died from complications of liver cancer on May 27, 2017. He was 69.
Gregg Allman’s most notorious and arguably memorable marriage was with Cher; throughout his marriages and relationships, he fathered five children Michael Sean Allman, 50, from a relationship with former waitress Mary Lynn Green, son Devon Allman, 44, lead singer of Honeytribe from his marriage to Shelley Kay Winters.
Son Elijah Blue Allman, 40, lead singer of Deadsy from his marriage to Cher, daughter Delilah Island Allman, 36, from his marriage to Julie Bindas.
Daughter Layla Brooklyn Allman, 24, who fronts the band Picture Me Broken, from his relationship with radio journalist Shelby Blackburn.
Furthermore, in 2012, he announced his engagement to Shannon Williams, who he referred to as the love of his life. Allman was 64, Shannon was 24.
“She’s becoming wife number one. I don’t have a wife. I haven’t had one for years. This time I’m really in love.”
Shannon Williams from Atlanta, Georgia was the social media manager of Gregg Allman and Friends; prior to that, she worked as a beverage manager at Zuzu restaurant in Gainesville, Florida. She also worked at Starte’s Sports Bar & Grille and the Blue Grotto in Fleming Island, Florida.
Shannon studied at Florida State College at Jacksonville, from where she graduated in 2010 with an associate of arts in Journalism and Spanish and in 2013 from the University of Florida.
