Iskra Lawrence is a 26-year-old British model and activist who is known for not retouching her Instagram images in any way an calling out body shamers.

You’ve probably know Lawrence from her Aerie post –the brand of clothing from American Eagle Outfitters.

Lawrence –who doesn’t want to be known as a plus-size model –is also a managing editor at Runway Riot. The website is meant to be an outlet for women of all shapes and sizes to learn about glamour.

Iskra who has a following of 2.8 million on Instagram, posted a video where she is seen stripping on a NY subway.

Her stripping certainly had a purpose, the model and activist, revealed how she grew up ‘hating’ herself because she didn’t fit to the ‘small standards of beauty’ put on society by the media.

Since being posted last night, the video has garnered over 800K views.

This isnt the first time Iskra has made use of her high profile to talk openly about accepting different body sizes and the need for the fashion industry to stop using models that don’t represent real women.

The stunning Britton was born Iskra Arabella Lawrence on September 11, 1990. She attended Bromsgrove School where she was a competitive national swimmer.

She actually began modeling when she was just 13 years old, but was dropped by her agency at 15 for being too curvy.

But in an era of Kim-K’s everywhere, Lawrence has found a spot for herself. The blonde bombshell, has been compared to VS model Gigi Hadid.

The stunning size 14 model, has worked hard to make her voice be heard. Aside from her modeling and her fashion editor jobs, she also teaches classes through The Body Project, which is a prevention program that helps young women combat eating disorders, according to Shape Magazine.
