Kim Porter best known as a model, actress and mother to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs children –has sadly passed at the age of 46.



Numerous reports have confirmed the tragic death of Porter –who was found unresponsive at her home in Toluca Lake, California. The model and actress was pronounced dead at the scene. An official cause of death is still pending and many of the details surrounding her death have not yet been released.

Porter was born December 16, 1971; a Columbus, Georgia native made a name for herself as a model, gracing the covers of Runway and Essence magazines. Kim moved to Atlanta in 1988 after graduating high school in order to pursue her modeling dream and after landing a few modeling gigs in her native hometown. Kim also dabbled into music as a member of a girl group called Girl 6.

Over the years Kim appeared in numerous films and TV shows including Single Ladies, The Brothers and Wicked Wicked Games. She is survived by four children.

Kim had her first child, Quincy Brown in 1991 with crooner Al. B Sure. Her son was named after his godfather, legendary musician and producer Quincy Jones. Brown was mostly raised by rapper/producer Sean Diddy Combs –who began dating Porter when he was only 3-years-old. Quincy, now 27, is an actor and singer.

Kim and Diddy had an on and off relationship that began in the mid 90’s and ended for good in 2007. During their time together they welcomed a son, Christian, 20, and twin girls Jessie and D’Lila who are 11.

The two were really solid for a while with Kim and Diddy appearing everywhere together. After they broke up, Kim and the rapper still got along and were close to each other, the two were even pictured sharing a family gateway in 2010.

Diddy himself had said numerous times he was best friends with his baby mamas. Porter also felt the same way, she told Essence in 2007 “Sean and I have this bond, this friendship. We’re friends. I’m the person he can tell his inner most thoughts to and he’s that person for me.”
