Casey DeSantis
Meet Casey DeSantis formerly known as Casey Black; she is the lovely wife of Ron DeSantis –the politician serving as the representative for Florida’s 6th congressional district.
Casey’s husband has been in the top post since 2013, the Republican Party member is a former Navy lawyer and author. Born September 14, 1978; the Dunedin, FL; native attended Yale University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was the captain of the varsity baseball team. He also graduated with honors from Harvard Law School.
According to his website, he is currently a Lieutenant Commander in the reserve component of the United States Navy. During his naval service, he deployed to Iraq during the 2007 troop surge as an advisor to a U.S. Navy SEAL commander in support of the SEAL mission in Iraq and also served at the terrorist detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Ron who joined Congress since 2013 also served as both a federal and military prosecutor. But Ron DeSantis isn’t the only star in the family –sort of speak. His wife is Casey Black –and Emmy award-winning journalist.
Casey Black and Ron DeSantis have been married since 2010 and since, have welcomed two children together; daughter Madison and son, Mason –born in March 2018.
Prior to becoming Mrs. DeSantis, Casey Black graduated from the College of Charleston, Casey –National Champion equestrian, she competed in Division I athletics as part of the Equestrian Team. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics and a minor in French.
She’s worked in the industry for more than 15 years on both regional and national platforms. The stunning wife and mom is currently the host of her own talk show called, First Coast Living –which airs on NBC in Jacksonville. She previously worked for CNN and the PGA Tour. She began her career at WJXT-Channel 4 in Jacksonville –where she worked for seven years. Since then she’s held several positions including, writer, anchor, general reporter assignment and associate producer.
