Jeffrey Rosenthal is the boyfriend of late Rohina Bhandari –the woman who was killed by a shark in Costa Rica.

Jeffrey’s girlfriend and soon-to-be-wife was of Indian origin and was a financier who worked at Wall Street. She was 49-years-old. According to reports, Rohina sustained severe bites to her legs while scuba diving off Cocos Island in Costa Rica. She was part of an 18-member group that went for a diving session.

Bhandari was a senior director at WL Ross & Co. LL, a firm founded by Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross. The private equity manager was engaged to Jeffrey Rosenthal –who puts the blame on the diving company for having ‘no protection’ to ward from possible threats.

Jeffrey Rosenthal or Dr. Jeffrey Rosenthal if you will, told media Rohina was ‘the life of the party’ and added of the tragic incident:

‘I don’t understand that aspect of it, that there was no protection for her or for the other guests for that matter.

‘I just feel that the safety precautions they took were not as good as they should have had.’

Rosenthal who claims the diving company did not keep his fiancée safe –is a plastic surgeon. The heartbroken dr. spoke highly of his girlfriend saying she was ‘a 10-star person’ known for her infection smile.’ He went onto revealed Rohina was fascinated by the wildlife and that she enjoyed diving. She had previously visited Jamaica, the Galapagos Islands and the Bahamas.

The couple had been dating for years and according to the NY Post, Rosenthal will now take care of her golden Labrador, Simba. The two were often spotted at charity events throughout the Manhattan area.

Additionally, Dr. Rosenthal happens to be an internationally acclaimed artist. He is recognized for his talented artistry both inside and outside of medicine, having had exhibits of his paintings, photography, poetry, and sculpting in France, Connecticut and New York.

Jeffrey Rosenthal has also lectured both nationally and internationally on plastic surgery topics and has had numerous articles written about his art in combination with cosmetic surgery.
