Rai King – Activist Shaun King’s Wife

Rai King the wife of activist Shaun King!

Rai King, the wife of activist Shaun King a writer at the Daily Kos known for his participation in the Black Lives Matter Movement found themselves in the middle of an uncomfortable racial situation It all came to this after Breibart reveled a 1995 police document that identifies King’s ethnicity as white. Rai King jumped on her husband’s defense.

Breibart reported he found articles written by blogger Vicki Pate, who outed King as a liar about his ethnicity, something she found out about after spending days if not weeks stalking Shaun King and his family.

Yes, I stalk Shaun King’s social media and that of some of his family, mainly his brother and mother, looking for some sign that he is actually an African American.  Why?  It all started with a huge lie he told about Charles Johnson, owner of GotNews, right after Michael Brown was killed in Ferguson, Missouri.  Shaun posted the child molestation arrest record of another Charles Johnson with a different birth date than that of the owner of GotNews.  He did this deplorable thing because Charles had filed an FOIA request for Michael Brown’s juvenile record.

I was so appalled by this I decided to look into Mr. King’s background (much of my research can be found under the tab “Frauds and Cons” above).  I found King to be a self-promoting con with little conscience, if any.  He hit back hard after I wrote the blogs about his “foundations” and “start-ups”.   King had my twitter accounts taken down when I posted a WhoIs on one of his many donation sites.  The address was to Courageous Church, not his home address.  There is nothing against Twitter rules that state information from public websites is forbidden, but Shaun knows someone who works for Twitter, in fact, he was in business with her in 2013.

Breibart got a hold of Shaun King’s birth certificate from the Kentucky Office of Vitals Statistics, King said he was born to Caucasian mother and African American father (the birth certificate named Naomi Kay Fleming as the mother and Jeffery Wayne King as the dad) Pate said she found a 2007 mugshot of a white male identified as Jeffery Wayne King.

Mrs. Pate refers to Shaun King as the next Rachel Dolezal, she said she found birth records that proves Jeffery Wayne King from the mugshot is the father of King’s brother Kentucky Air Guard Russ King. She attached this to that piece..

Russ is my older brother.  As a little boy he was my best friend.  My family is blended and we all have different dads and moms.  Everybody was divorced and remarried many times and I grew apart from Russ, but I am very proud of my big brother.

Mr. King graduated from Morehouse College on a scholarship given to him by Oprah. The Oprah Scholarship is given exclusively to black men. Pate said Shaun lied about his ethnicity to get the scholarship- He posted the following about that..

Mrs. Pate insists Shaun King a young techie-humanitarian-pastor has been lying about his ethnicity all this time, fooling everybody, but what about his wife Rai, who is according to web records his high school sweetheart, she probably met his family at one point. What does Rai King has to say about this whole thing? Here is what she said..

“There’s no spray tan, no fake black hairstyles, no attempt to make himself appear any more ethnic than he already does,”Rai King said in a lengthy Facebook statement Friday.

He’s no Rachel Dolezal. What’s white about him is white, and what’s black about him is black and always has been from the time he was a child,” she added.

And what did Rai King said about the Oprah Scholarship?

“About this, we have nothing to prove,” Rai King wrote. “Shaun is a flawed and imperfect man. He has made many mistakes. Just like me and just like you. But regarding his race, he has never lied. Not once.”

Shaun said distant family members are being harassed. He has been receiving death threats, he said Vicki Pate is a white supremacist who has been banned from Twitter for racist harassment.

Personally, I don’t condone the lying, especially lying about your ethnicity, and can’t find a reason to justify why someone needs to start something good with a lie, it really makes no sense at all, I can’t said that Shaun King is a liar or not, but here is drives me insane.. what ever the color of a person’s skin is white or black, it’s not important when this individual does pretty incredible things for those in need, people hurting, people that have been neglected- isn’t that more important than the color of his or her skin? We have become so submerged in racial matters that we have forgotten that on the inside we are all the same.

Therefore with that said, let’s go back to Mr. King’s story, according to an article on Rebel Magazine Rai King is Shaun’s high school sweetheart, they got married in 2003, the same year he was involved in a horrific car accident where Shaun broke nearly every bone in his face, and accident that Breibart believes may or may not have happened.

“I hit a patch of black ice, lost control of the car and crossed the median of the Interstate,” he explains. “A truck coming straight at us hit us, crushing our car in a way that my seat went through the windshield. I hit the guardrail and it threw me back into the car. If I didn’t hit the guardrail, I probably would have died.”

“I looked like Freddy Krueger for months,” he says. Subsequent X-rays and CAT scans revealed King had not broken any bones, however, and the doctors and medical students who visited him called him the “Miracle Man.”

34-year-old Rai King was born Rai Tonica Adams, she is the proud momma of Taeyonna, Kendi, Ezekiel, and Savannah, three of these beautiful children are Rai and Shaun’s birth children. The latest member of the family is their niece who they fully adopted in 2003. Shaun and Rai have custody of their 2-year-old niece Zayah.

Taeyonna King produced the short film Broken Pieces: Anti Drug PSA which was selected for the the 2015 American High School film Festival.
