Olivia Jackson is a gorgeous actress and stunt woman whose career was ruined following a horrific accident while standing in for Milla Jovovich on the film, Resident Evil.
Olivia Jackson was born August 25, 1983; the South African beauty has stood in for A-List beauties like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Charlize Theron, Elizabeth Olsen, Karen Gillan and Milla Jovovich. She has worked on films like Mad Max Fury Road, Guardians of the Galaxy and Dredd.
The 35-year-old is currently seeking £2.2m in damages after a nightmare accident on the set of Resident Evil –nearly killed her.
In 2015 Olivia was filming Resident Evil: The Final Chapter when she had a terrible accident which left her in a coma for 17 days. Six months after the accident, she had to have her arm amputated. Jackson was shooting a high-speed motorcycle chase on set, when she crashed into a metal camera arm –that didn’t lift fast enough.
The list of her injuries is simply shocking and even actress Milla Jovovich wrote on her Facebook at the time “Its a miracle that she survived.”
Jackson suffered serious head injuries, a punctured lung, half her face was torn off –and was also left with a painfully twisted spine, a permanently dislocated shoulder, a severed thumb, punctured lungs and broken ribs. As if that isn’t enough, her left arm also had to be removed due to extensive damage.
Olivia has been to count with the support of her husband David Grant. Grant who is British, is also a stunt man. The two met on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy four years ago and tied the knot in 2015 –they were newlyweds when the horrible accident took place.
Despite being in constant pain for the past three years, Jackson has been determined to stay positive. The blonde beauty does 90 minutes of physiotherapy a day and has been swimming and horse riding.
