Alexandra Jamieson became his second wife. The two dated for years and were married in 2006.
It was Jamieson who helped Spurlock to return to his normal weigh after the Super-Size Me documentary. She helped him recovery with her “detox diet”, which became the basis for her book, The Great American Detox Diet.
Alexandra Marie Jamieson was born March 20, 1975; the Oregon native is a natural foods chef, author, speaker, TV personality, and holistic health counselor. Check out her website here.
She attended New York City’s Natural Gourmet Cookery School and spent time in Italy cooking professionally.
Jamieson wrote a successful detox book off the back of Spurlock’s super-sizing experience. She was pregnant while he was filming Where in the World is Osama bin Laden? And was unaware of the danger he was in, risking gunfire in Afghanistan. When she found out, she felt betrayed.
Of the split from Jamieson, Morgan said:
“We split up because I didn’t make my relationship my priority,” “I was not valuing her the way I should. You have someone who’s there to support you, and you take it for granted. I didn’t make her as important in my life as I should have. It was all me.”
Morgan is currently married to wife number three, Sara Bernstein. The couple became husband and wife in April 2016 following an 8-year-relationship.
People reported at the time, the couple had their wedding at their cabin in the Catskill Mountains in southeast New York. Bernstein was pregnant, and the couple joked that it was a “shotgun wedding” on Spurlock’s Who Say and Instagram accounts.
Sara Bernstein is senior vice president of HBO’s documentary arm. She has under her belt four Emmy awards, including the best documentary prize in 2016 for producing the Scientology movie Going Clear. She writes on her Twitter bio “I am SVP of programming for @HBODocs”
According to his open letter, Morgan had a college girlfriend who accused him of rape. He wrote about his then girlfriend
“In my mind, we’d been drinking all night and went back to my room,” he wrote. “We began fooling around, she pushed me off, then we laid in the bed and talked and laughed some more, and then began fooling around again. We took off our clothes. She said she didn’t want to have ***, so we laid together, and talked, and kissed, and laughed, and then we started having ***.”
When the woman then started to cry Spurlock said that he “didn’t know what to do. We stopped having *** and I rolled beside her. I tried to comfort her. To make her feel better. I thought I was doing ok, I believed she was feeling better. She believed she was raped.”
