Marinna Rollins
Marinna Rollins, the former soldier who was charged with animal cruelty last month –was found dead at her home in Fayetteville over the weekend.
Both Rollins and her boyfriend, Jarren Heng, 25, each faced a felony charge of cruelty to animals, after video of her killing her service dog surfaced.
Accoridng to court documents, the dog named “Cumboui,” was shot with a rifle.
She and her boyfriend were both charged on April 24th and had a court date pending for May 16 on felony charges of animal cruelty and conspiracy.

1. She was a soldier.
23-year-old Marinna Rollins had been stationed at Fort Bragg but reports say she ended her military service in January 2017. She served in South Korea and according to relatives she suffered from severe PTSD following a traumatic incident occurred during her service.
2. She was previously married but was in another relationship.
Marinna Rollins was married to fellow Fort Bragg soldier, Matt Dyer. At the time of the indecent they were separated. She was in a romantic relationship with Jarren Heng.
3. The dog she was accused of killing was adopted by her estranged husband.
The dog’s name was originally “Huey” and was adopted by her husband. After Marinna’s husband was deployed to Korea for a year and although the couple had split, Marinna agreed to care for Huey.
4. Rollins got Huey certified as an emotional support dog and later shot him five times.
Rollins then changed the dog’s name to “Cambouis.” The dog was shot five times and captured on Facebook Live. She can be heard talking to the deceased dog, “It’s been real, Cammy, I love you. You’re my puppy. You’re a good puppy.”
5. Her death is being investigated as a suicide.
Police reports say, Marinna Rollins was found dead around 3 a.m. Sunday, at 5600 Netherfield Place.
