Lauren Mishcon is a renowned doula is the United Kingdom, according to the Us Weekly, Mrs. Mishcon has been hired by the Duchess of Essex, Meghan Markle as her doula to guide and coach her during labor, by doing so, the Duchess is breaking a royal tradition.

The magazine reported Lauren has been visiting the Duchess regularly at both her Kensington Palace and Oxfordshire home.

Mrs. Mischon lives in North London, with her husband and their three sons; Max born in 2004, Zak born in 2006 and Joshua born in 2013.

Prior to becoming a mother and a doula, Lauren worked in a West End actor’s agency; her passion for empowering women during their journey came after hearing about it on a radio show on Radio 4.

She completed her training in 2007, around that same time she joined Doula UK. Lauren holds training in the birth and postnatal course with Nurturing Birth, Water Birth Study Day.

In addition to her work as a doula, Mrs. Mishcon is a freelance writer, contributing for Juno Magazine and was the doula expert for Pregnancy and Birth Magazine between 2009 until 2011.
