William Jenkins
William Jenkins is the older brother of professional football player, Janoris Jenkins –currently a cornerback whit the New York Giants.
The Jenkins brothers are originally from Florida, Janoris was born October 29, 1988. He was a First-Team All-SEC selection at the University of Florida in 2010 before having to transfer to the University of North Alabama.
He was a 2nd round selection of the St. Louis Rams in 2012. He made solid contributions during his first two seasons with 113 tackles, 21 pass deflections and 5 interceptions. He set a Rams team record during his rookie season by returning two interceptions for touchdowns in one game.
Janoris who is a father of four children, owns a home in New Jersey in which it was found a dead man. The body was identified as Roosevelt Rene –a friend of Jenkins and his brother William, was named as the person of interest in the death of Rene.
34-year-old William Jenkins is being sought for questioning by police, he was arrested earlier in the day, just hours before police found Rene’s body at Jenkins’ home.
Thought sites like TMZ say Williams Jenkins is not a suspect in what police are investigating as a homicide, he is no stranger to run-ins with the law. William Jenkins has served two different prison sentences over the past 15 years, according to Department of Corrections records.
The older Jenkins has been convicted of sale of a controlled substance in 2006 and was locked up from Dec. 6, 2006 until February 2, 2010. He has a second convicted of possession and sale of a controlled substance in 2011, and was again locked up from April 4, 2011 until being released on parole on July 18, 2016.
The link between the deceased man and Janoris appears to be a professional, after reports say Rene was a music producer, and Jenkins collaborated with him on a rap song in March.
