Ira Bernstein and his mistress, Kelly Myzner Gribeluk were arraigned Tuesday in Ramapo on conspiracy and solicitation charges.

The evil couple had planned to kill his soon-to-be ex-wife and paid people to rough up a pair of insurance agents investigating his medical practice, police said.

They were arrested Monday night following a month-long-investigation. Police caught up with their master plan after a would-be hitman came forward.

After the man reached out to authorities, a sting operation developed and involved disguising the two insurance investigators to make it look as if the beatings had been carried out.

41-year-old Ira Bernstein and his girlfriend, paid the man to killed his wife, Susan –who is also the mother of his three children –by making it look like an accident. Ira and Susan Bernstein are not living together and were in the process of getting a divorce.

On the other hand, we have 36-year-old Kelly Myzner Gribeluk –who is said to be divorced and is the mother of three children who do not live with her. Apparently the two plot the kill essentially for financial gain.

Accoridng to the detective on the case, the couple asked one of Kelly Myzner Gribeluk’s contacts and asked to carry out the murder.

Bernstein and Gribeluk met up with this contact several times and offered money, according to authorities: ‘There were repeated meetings. They turned over things that would have helped a would-be killer to go forward. There was money exchanged,’ the detective said.

Bernstein and Gribeluk –a Rockland resident and real state agent –now face felony counts of second-degree conspiracy, second-degree solicitation and fourth-degree conspiracy, and a misdemeanor count of fourth-degree solicitation.

Bail has been set at $600,000 for each of them and the case will go to a grand jury on Friday, NBC reported.

Bernstein has lost two malpractice lawsuits in the past two years according to Lohud, ending up with almost $2 million in judgments. His malpractice cases include a 2015 incident where a jury awarded a 12-year-old patient $1.4 million after the doctor left her foot permanently deformed and in 2014, when he paid another patient $775,000 following a botched bunion operation.

Dr. Ira Bernstein was born at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY and raised in Rockland County. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Vertebrate Physiology at Penn State University. He attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia where he obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. Dr. Bernstein completed a surgical residency in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida. He is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Bernstein is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.  He is an attending physician at Nyack Hospital, Market Street Surgical Center, Hackensack Surgerical Center, and Saddle River Valley Surgical Center.
