Colette Seaman is the proud wife of Jason Seaman –a middle school teacher in Indiana who stopped what could’ve been a tragic shooting.

Colette’s husband is being hailed a hero after he bravely tackled and stopped a student who entered his classroom with two guns. During a recent press conference Jason spoke about the incident saying “I want to make it clear that my actions on that day, in my mind, were the only acceptable actions I could have done given the circumstances.”

Jason Seaman is a former college football player turned school teacher, the 29-years-old is employed at Noblesville West Middle School –where he teaches science to seventh graders. According to his LinkedIn page, Seaman has been a science teacher at Noblesville schools since July 2014. He is also the head football coach for the seventh-grade team.

Seaman was shot during the incident and was hospitalized but was not seriously injured. A student was also shot and is said to be in critical condition.

Right after the incident, Colette spoke to media on behalf of her husband saying “First of all, thank you to the first responders from Noblesville and Fishers for their immediate action and care. I want to let everyone know that I was injured but am doing great. To all the students, you are all wonderful and I thank you for your support. You are the reason I teach.”

According to her LinkedIn, Colette Seaman is in the sales industry and works as a Regional Sales Assistant at GeneDx. Previous work experience includes a stint as an Intern Educational Services at National Institute for Fitness and Sport ‘NIFS.’

The pretty blonde attended Purdue University from 2005-2009 obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree, Health Promotions and Health Fitness. From 2010-2012 she attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale where she graduated with a Master of Public Health (MPH), Community Health Education. While attending Southern Illinois University she was a student worker for the University’s Athletic Department.

Jason and Colette Seaman are the proud parents of two small children.
