Fifi Geldof – Peaches Geldof´s Older sister

The sudden death of Peaches Geldof at  25 has left her entire family, friends and fans in shock,  Peaches was the essence of happiness and pure kindness; many of her friends have given tribute to their beloved Peaches, but the most heartbreaking tribute is that left by her beloved father and older sister Fifi Geldof.

Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us

What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is.

Peaches´ husband Thomas released the following statement.

“My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons. I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday. We shall love her forever.”

Fifi, Peaches´s sister joined her father and brother in-law and she did too leave an emotional tribute top her dear little sister.

‘My beautiful baby sister … Gone but never forgotten. I love you, Peaches x (sic)’

31-year- old Fifi was born Fifi Trixibelle Geldof Yates on March 31st, 1983 to Bob Geldof and Paula Yates who named little Fifi after Mr. Geldof´s aunt Fifi and Trixibelle because Mrs. Yates  hoped for a belle in the family. Fifi became an older sister on March 13, 1989 to her daughter Peaches and then to their sister Pixie born  on September 17, 1990.

Fifi´s parents split got married when she was three in Las Vegas, they separated  in 1995, at that time Mrs. Yates was dating INXS front man Michael Hutchence, Paula and Bob Geldof eventually divorced in May, 1996.  that same year Fifi´s welcomed her half sister Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence  born to her mom and Michael Hutchence on July 22, 1996.

Hutchence was found dead  at his hotel room in Sydney, after his suicide, Paula Yates became distraught and attempted suicide, with that Bob Geldof won full custody of  Fifi an her sisters, and in the U.S Michael Hutchence´s dad Kell began proceeding to get custody of Tiger.

Fifi´s was seventeen when her mother was found dead of a heroin overdose at her home in London on September 17, 2000, the day her little sister Pixie turned 10.

After her mom´s death, her father assumed foster custody of her b little sister Tiger, so she could be brought up with Fifi, Peaches and Pixie. Bob Geldof  was granted formal adoption of  Tiger Lili in 2007, and in 2008 she changed her name to Heavenly Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof, she resides with Fifi´s dad and his girlfriend French actress Jeanne Marie.

For some time Fifi lived with sister Peaches in the flat adjacent to their father´s home, in 2002 she was arrested for being ‘drunk and incapable’ after a drinking session in London’s West End, then in 2009 she was warned by police for possession of weed, luckily those wild days  are over, Fifi  has an office job at a London PR agency, her  dad describes her as  a great companion, fantastic fun, a gorgeous girl, though the most like me in that she can also be unco-operative and surly.

Fifi Geldof is currently engaged to her handsome husband-to-be
