Eric Holder has been named as the suspect in the shooting and killing of Los Angeles rapper, Nipsey Hussle.
Hussle, born Ermias Joseph Asghedom, was fatally shot outside the Marathon Clothing store–which he owned. An autopsy revealed he had been shot in the head and torso. Since then, the suspect has remained at large.
Today, LAPD named 29-year-old Eric Holder as a suspect in the fatal shooting that has left thousands mourning for their idol who offered hope, advocated self-improvement and financially invested in the community he grew-up in.
Nipsey, a Grammy nominated artist, opened a co-working space dedicated to increasing diversity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics; and was also planning to meet with officials on how to prevent gang violence.
According to authorities, Holder was last seen in a white 2016 Chevy Cruze. Holder is wanted for homicide in connection with the murder and shooting of two others who were injured during.
According to police recount of the murder scene, Eric Holder walked up to Hussle and two other men and fired a number of shots, wounding the rapper on the head and torso. The suspect then ran southbound through a nearby alley and got into the waiting white Chevy, which was being driven by an unidentified female.
Details on Holder include the 29-year-old is an aspiring rapper and also member of the Crips gang. It’s been also reported Holder and Nipsey knew each other. However, a motive for the killing is not yet clear.
Holder who is covered in tattoos from his neck down, also goes by the street names “Shitty Cuz,” and “Fly Mac”
He uploaded some of his material to a Soundcloud account –which goes on to say “for bookings and to submit beats email…FLY_MAC60 ….plenty n*ggas hate cuz I’m da great…im a westcoast artist…..”
On social media, he describes himself as “Boss King,” and writes, “Cool young king….hood playa patna.”
