Akim Vann Ossé was until recently the loving and proud wife of Reggie Ossé –best known in the Hip Hop community as Combat Jack.

Akim’s famous hip hop podcaster hubby sadly passed away reports say, Combat Jack was only 48-year-old. The lawyer turned podcaster announced his battle with colon cancer in October. Hot 97 confirmed the sad news of his passing today.

Reggie Osse was a graduate from Cornell University and worked both as a lawyer and an editor at The Source Magazine –representing people such as Jay-Z and Capone-n-Noreaga before starting his No. 1 hip-hop podcast.

Around 2011, Ossé began his podcast, The Combat Jack Show, which is considered the beginning of big-time rap podcasts as we know them today. He hosted the podcast for 7-years.

Combat Jack was known for his passion and deep hip hop knowledge, Jack could talk about albums for hours and was considered a pioneer in hip-hop. Throughout the course of his career, he hosted guests from Jadakiss, Just Blaze, The Game, Joe Budden, Royce Da 5’9″, Ice Cube, Jordan Peele, Jeezy, Zaytoven, Cardi B, Ty Dolla $ign and more.

He is remembered as one of Hip Hop most important historians. He is survived by his wife and four children.

Akim Vann Osse is also an Ivy League college graduate and Brooklyn native. She and her husband welcomed four children together. She is the mother of three boys and one girl.

Sons Chi Osse is a freshman in college, Kai Osse is a high-school student, Chuma Osse is also currently attending college.

As for Akim Vann Osse, nowadays the wife and mother of four is a tutor and bakery owner. According to her LinkedIn, she is a private tutor at Fantastic Tutor Kim –providing tutoring services/ education manuals. Akim Vann holds a B.A, Political Science/ Math from Barnard College.

In 2014, Akim Vann Osse and Miriam Osei Milord and Martine Dallemand launched BCakeShop –a Brooklyn based bakery producing traditionally American classics with global influences.
