Callista Gingrich is the wife of former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich. Her husband is reported to be on Donald Trump’s vice presidential short list, as a result Fox News has cut ties with the politician.

Trump is expected to name a running mate later this week, would it be Callista’s husband?

Her husband was born June 17, 1943 in Harrisburg, PA. Newt spent his childhood on military bases in the US and overseas. After completing college he moved to Carrollton, GA to teach history and environmental studies at West Georgia College (now University of West Georgia).

After two unsuccessful runs for Congress, he finally won in 1978 and was honored to represent Georgia’s sixth congressional district for 20 years.
In 1994, Newt helped design the “Contract with America” campaign, which resulted in Republicans capturing the U.S. House of Representatives for the first time in forty years and his election as Speaker of the House of Representatives.

According to his page, during the four years Callista’s husband served as Speaker, Congress passed the first balanced budget in a generation, leading to the repayment of over $400 billion in debt. Congress also cut taxes for the first time in sixteen years, saved Medicare from bankruptcy and reformed welfare. Over 8 million new jobs were created.

Lovely Callista Gingrich is Newt’s third wife. Her husband of 16-years was previously married to Jackie Battley from 1962–1981 and from 1981 to 2000 to Marianne Ginther.

Callista Gingrich was born Callista Louise Bisek on March 4, 1966 in Whitehall, Wisconsin. The blonde is her husband’s junior by 23-years. She is active in social media and actually, she and her husband work together. She is the President of Gingrich Productions, a multimedia production company based in Washington, DC.

She is also known for her children’s books. Mrs. Gingrich is the author of the New York Times best-selling children’s series featuring Ellis the Elephant. Her children’s books include Sweet Land of Liberty, Land of the Pilgrims’ Pride, Yankee Doodle Dandy, From Sea to Shining Sea and her latest book, Christmas in America.


But her knowledge doesn’t end there. She as a wide range of knowledge in government affairs, strategic planning, legislative research, and constituent services. Callista Gingrich happens to have nearly 20 years of staff experience as a former congressional aide in the U.S. House of Representatives. She worked both on the House Committee on Agriculture as Chief Clerk, and in the Office of Congressman Steve Gunderson (R-WI).

Following his depart from Congress, the couple have founded four small businesses, employing over 50 people.
