Some tough news fro Brandi Brandt –former Playboy model –who was sentenced to up to six years in prison today for being part of a drug smuggling ring that brought cocaine to Australia.
If the name sounds familiar, yes she is Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx first wife. From May 1989 to November 1996 the couple was something else! He, well doesn’t need much of an intro, best known as the co-founder, bassist, and primary songwriter of the band and she, well had a name of herself as a former playmate, so they were a pretty hot couple. Below pictures of the couple form back in the day
You can do a quick search using her name and will find many of her topless photos. The couple who was married for seven years produced during that time, three children, two sons and one daughter.
Brandt first gave birth to Gunner Nicholas Sixx, born January 25, 1991; second child is Storm Brieann Sixx born April 14, 1994; and Decker Nilsson Sixx, born May 23, 1995.
Brandi who was born November 2, 1968, is a California native and during her professional playboy years she was best known for her 1987 title as playmate of the month (October). Two years later she was the cover model for the magazine during the month of August. In 1990 she and Donal Trump shared the cover of the March issue.
The mom of three and former playmate first got in trouble when she became involved with a cocaine importation syndicate that hid packages of the drug on Qantas and United Airlines planes that flew from California to Sydney.
We first heard of her legal issues in late 2013 when she was extradited from Los Angeles, California to Sydney, Australia to face charges for her alleged role in the cocaine-trafficking ring. In April this year, she pleaded guilty and today she is going to jail.
Documents filed at Central Local Court allege that between July and December, 2007, Brandt conspired to import a commercial quantity of cocaine and that she dealt with more than $130,000 in proceeds between July and November of the same year.
According to defense attorney Phillip Boulten, 45-year-old Brandi had a pretty mixed-up childhood, she was using drugs as a teen and her father was also using drugs. But it didn’t mind much to the judge and who even said her role was “substantially lower” than others involved in the ring.
According to him, between the drug ring’s bust and her arrest and extradition to Australia in 2013, she had actually manage to reform her life, gotten off drugs and found a job. It seems it’s all a bit too late huh.
Brandt will be eligible for parole in November 2016.
