Barb Tadych & Peter Dassey welcomed four children together Blaine, Bobby, Bryan, and Brendan.
Their son Brendan caught major headlines after he was convicted of being party to first-degree murder, mutilation of a corpse, and second-degree sexual assault at the age of 17.
Brendan was sentenced to mandatory life in prison with a possibility of parole set for November 1, 2048.
Parts of his video interrogation were shown in the Netflix documentary series Making a Murderer released in 2015. The series examined the 2005-2007 investigation, prosecution and trials of Dassey and Steven Avery, his uncle, who were both convicted of murdering photographer Teresa Halbach on October 31, 2005.
In a turn of events, Dassey’s conviction was overturned by US Magistrate Judge William E. Duffin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on August 12, 2016, on the basis that his confession was involuntary and unconstitutionally coerced.
He was ordered to be released within 90 days unless the state decides to retry him. On November 14, 2016, Duffin ordered him released. Meaning Barb Tadych & Peter Dassey’s son, could be released anytime between now and Friday evening.

Barb Tadych & Peter Dassey welcomed Brendan Ray Dassey on October 19, 1989 in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin.
Brendan’s parents divorced at some point and he grew up with his mother and brothers. At the time of his indictment, Dassey was a 16-year-old sophomore at Mishicot High School. With an IQ in the borderline deficiency range, he was enrolled in special education classes.
As of 2011, as seen in the Netflix documentary, Barbara Tadych was still convinced of her brother and son’s innocence and regularly visited Dassey in prison.

Tadych has kept busy trying to attempting to prove her son’s innocence. She shared a Change.org petition asking to free Dassey on Facebook multiple times.

Peter Dassey married Lori Avery, Steven Avery’s first wife. The Facebook page that seems to belong to Peter Dassey doesn’t provide any information about his occupation, education, or interests, only that he is friends with many members of the Dassey and Avery families.
However, he has shared photos of him visiting Brendan in jail.
Accoridng to TMZ, Brendan’s family have been prepping his room in his new Manitowoc County, WI home and are ready to welcome him any moment now.
