Never Before Seen Photos of Kurt Cobain Suicide Scene Revealed!!

A new series of photos of Kurt Cobain’s suicide scene was revealed today by two photographers from the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, identified as Mike Urban and Phil Webber.

27-year-old Kurt Cobain died of a self-inflected shotgun wound to the head on April 5th, 1994, his body was discovered at his home located at 171 Lake Washington Boulevard in Seattle, Washington on April 8th, 1994 by an electrician hired by Veca Electric named Gary Smith.

Mr. Smith said at first he thought Kurt was sleeping until he saw blood coming from his ear, Kurt’s shotgun, a Remington Model 11 20 gauge was found was inverted on his chest with his left hand wrapped around the barrel.

“I noticed something on the floor and I thought it was a mannequin. So I looked a little closer and geez, that’s a person. I looked a little closer and I could see blood and an ear and a weapon laying on his chest.”

Kurt and singer Courtney Love met on January 12, 1990, they got married on February 24, 1992, their daughter Frances Bean Cobain was born on August 18, 1992.

 The most recent photos released by Seattle police came within a month from Kurt´s 20th suicide. It was also reported Seattle police decided to reexamine the case after four films that had been sitting for years in a Seattle police evidence vault. The 35 mm film was processed by the King County Sheriff’s Office photo lab under high security.

Besides the photos information about the lethal dose of heroin he took was reported plus a previous suicide scare a month before he was found dead.

The date was March 18, 1994, Seattle police were called to the Lake Washington home after Kurt “locked himself in a room,” and said he was going to kill himself, according to a police report. Police was also told he “had a gun in the room.”

But Cobain told police he was not suicidal and didn’t want to kill himself. However, police said after the 1994 investigation that his death was clearly a suicide.
