Oh oh! It seems collateral damage for mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner a.k.a Carlos Danger is not only affecting-for the second time- Huma Abedin but also another members of his famous last name! We are talking about his brother, owner chef Jason Weiner.

According to Anthony’s sexting partner, the now very mature 23-year-old Sydney Leather is accusing the other Weiner of trying to shush her about not coming clean with her six month relationship with the politician. Anthony Weiner might have almost exposed his own brother since communications published in the original exposé by theDirty.com in which Weiner refers to a third party having contacted Leathers. Lou Colagiovanni Leather’s confidant claims, that third party was Jason.

Jason has stepped up and denies the accusations saying today, he heard the name for the first time along with everyone else! Let’s get to know the other Weiner.

Jason Weiner is the executive chef and proprietor of Almond, an American bistro with locations in Manhattan and Bridgehampton, New York. Weiner serves hearty, seasonal dishes that reflect farm-to-table roots and highlight local ingredients. Weiners success as a chef and restaurateur can be largely attributed to his extensive experience at many of the countrys top kitchens.

In 1991, Weiner helped open Aqua in San Francisco, working under Chef George Morrone. He was an early witness to locally grown, farm-fresh cooking. As Aqua’s mission was all things seafood, Weiner learned a good deal about preparing all varieties of fish. His resume includes managing Aqua, Weiner was also chef de cuisine at Michael Minas San Francisco’s three-star Charles restaurant for two years.

In 2001, Jason after reconnecting with childhood friend and future business partner Eric Lemonides, they ventured together in opening Almond. The two looked at an empty restaurant space in Bridgehampton. They barely hesitated in taking over the space, completing a full build-out by the following spring. The simplicity of the menu, the ingredients from local farmers, the friendly, laid-back atmosphere and Jasons adherence to the philosophy that the less a chef a does to fresh ingredients the better, made Almond an instant favorite.

The success of the restaurant led the team to expand to Manhattan. In October 2008, Jason and Eric opened the Manhattan outpost of Almond. The French bistro has become Bridgehampton hotspot.

Weiner grew up in Park Slope, NY. He realized his place was in the kitchen when he started cooking at a very young age for his two older brothers. No doubt he has had tremendous success, according to him the most popular item on his menu is mussels and fries

But I also do a pure and smoked meat program. At lunch, we’re doing a lot of pastrami, platter pastrami with braised savoy cabbage, crispy potatoes and au gratin mustard. At dinner we have a lamb, going through a lot of that too. It’s a lamb belly that we braze and serve with saffron pasta. We’ve got three different varieties of steak frites and four different sauces; that does well, too.

A peculiar fact about Jason is that he does not wear a chef jacket, since he says he finds long sleeves a little bit constricting and since his restaurant is such a big place, he needs to run around a lot.

Jason is married to Almond Zigmund, yup that is also the name of his restaurant. The couple has a daughter named Rive Tiger Lily, the chef currently lives with his family their home is located in East Hampton, NY

You have one Weiner in politics and the other in the kitchen, what a great deal, all Anthony’s major events can be cooked by his brother if you now what I mean!
