Meet the woman facing federal charges for throwing a show at former U.S. Secretary of State, Senator, and First Lady Hillary Clinton! Now, who is their right minds would do that?

The shoe thrower is Alison Michelle Ernst, who is accused of throwing a shoe at Hillary Clinton while she was speaking on stage at a metal recycling conference at Mandalay Bay.

The foul incident took place last Thursday and online sources report Alison Michelle Ernst was charged with two misdemeanor counts — trespassing on a restricted building or grounds and violence against a person in a restricted building or grounds, according to a copy of the complaint filed by the U.S. Secret Service.

The 36-year-old originally from Phoenix was charged by Las Vegas police on Friday with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and later released.

Ernst deliberately interrupted Clinton’s speech by hurling the black and orange Puma cleat at the 66-year-old former U.S. secretary of state from 60 feet away.

Luckily for Clinton the show missed her and we can see how the shoe passed near her head, causing her to “flinch and duck” She handled the situation with aplomb, quickly getting back on track but not before making a joke out it.

Sources reported Ernst appeared agitated at the time of her arrest and was fully aware of her actions. Wearing what it appears a blonde wig, she was led away by a security team.

The federal complaint did not say whether the woman arrested Thursday was the same Alison Michelle Ernst who in 2012 caused a scene at a court hearing for James Holmes, the man accused of killing 12 people and wounding dozens in an Aurora, Colo., movie theater shooting. Major outlets are saying she is the same woman but it appears to be some twists, you can read more here.

The secret service is still investigating how Ernst who did not have a ticket to get into the restricted area “somehow got past” the people checking tickets.

It is not clear what prompted the Arizona woman to throw the shoe to Clinton.

What do you think; temporal insanity or just plain hate for the potential Democratic candidate for president in 2016?
