Lovely 59-year-old Janet Huckabee been married to Mike Huckabee for the past 41-years. Her hubby –former Arkansas Governor and current presidential candidate –made some candid comments earlier this year, that was revealed recently.

According to a video posted on YouTube over the weekend by the conservative site WorldNetDaily, Janet’s hubby said –during the 2015 National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville, Tennessee –that he would have lied about his gender identity to ogle women in bathrooms!

No doubt, Janet wasn’t that worried about his unique take on transgender rights; after all her husband known for giving colorful and occasionally controversial quotes on various topics. The thing is, was he joking?

Janet was born Janet McCain on July 16, 1955, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. We could say they have one of those meant-to-be type stories. They met in junior high school and began dating until their senior year of high school.

They went on to attend Ouachita Baptist University. Eventually tied the knot on May 25, 1974, at Janet’s mother’s home in Hope, Arkansas.

Nearly two years into their marriage, she was diagnosed with spinal cancer. Indeed they faced a scary time, and eventually, she was able to recover. After that period followed happier times when she gave birth to three children: two sons, John Mark and David, and a daughter, Sarah.

Janet was Arkansas First Lady from 1996 till 2007. She has worked as a Substitute teacher and subsequently as a pharmacist’s assistant. In 2003, she finished her degree at John Brown University, graduating with honors in organizational management.

A year prior, in 2002 she was the Republican Party nominee for Arkansas Secretary of State.
