Lu Parker, the former pageant title holder turned news anchor has been arrested at LAX!

Parker, an Emmy- and Genesis Award-winning journalist, allegedly grabbed a pair of high-end headphones at the TSA screening area in Terminal 6, TMZ reports.

She made her way into boarding her flight but before the aircraft had a chance to take off, she was hauled off the jet and taken into custody.

Turns out, her poor judgment was caught on on CCTV cameras and was ultimately tracked down. To her bad luck, the pair of $200 worth headphones belonged to an LAPD Robbery Homicide detective.

Apparently the good-looking 44-year-old is single these days, and quite frankly it might be the best. At least she doesn’t have to explain herself to a ‘romantic interest’ about this little and super embarrassing incident.

She is looking at a misdemeanor theft.

Parker is currently employed by KTLA5. According to her bio, Lu Parker works as an anchor on the KTLA 5 News at 1 and KTLA 5 News at 3. She also contributes daily reports for KTLA’s Health Smart segments, which air on the KTLA 5 News at 10.

She was born Frances Louise Parker in Anderson, South Carolina.

The journalist and actress was crowned Miss USA in 1994 and has been working with the network since 2005.

She is a graduate from the College of Charleston. The former Alpha Delta Pi sister received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.

Before making it in the broadcasting world, she became a ninth-grade English literature teacher. After winning the Miss USA title she competed in the Miss Universe pageant, where she placed among the top six finalists.

Aside form her anchoring duties she has also played a reporter/anchor on television shows like TNT’s “Major Crimes,” Fox’s “Lie To Me,” USA’s “Monk” and NBC’s “Days of our Lives.”

Other interesting facts include Lu, as the author of “Catching the Crown: The Source for Pageant Competition.”

As you might imagine she is active in all social media platforms and also has her own website. As for her personal life, a quick Google search will tell you she was in a three year relationship with L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Parker and Villaraigosa began dating in 2009, two years after the mayor’s breakup with Mirthala Salinas. The couple called it quits in 2012.
