Let’s meet brave young mother-Tennyson Salopek- who in a desperate attempt to save her husbands life, knifed a man to death after he broke into her Washington state home for the second time!

According to police:

“This guy apparently grabbed her by the pony tail, swung her around, robbed her and then either slapped or punched her in the face,” Sgt. Cindi West, spokeswoman with the King County Sheriff’s Department,

That first attack took place around 1:10 p.m. Sunday afternoon — as Jacobson celebrated her first Mother’s Day with her baby daughter and her own mom — a man entered the property. She even wrote on her Facebook on Sunday:

The man fled leaving the family in terror! So in the early hours of Monday morning around 1:40 a.m. Monday, the couple’s barking dogs woke them up only to find the intruder in their hallway, North Bend deputies said the husband immediately started fighting the invader! It was at that moment that Tennyson’s will to defend her family made her jump in to help her husband, grabbing a knife and stabbing the vicious man- who is believed to be in his 30’s or 40’s- to death.

Tennyson was born in North Bend, Washington; she has one sister, Jessie Salopek. She attended Mount Si High School in Snoqualmie Washington and Central Washington University in Ellensburg. She previously worked at Sip at the wine bar and restaurant and now is a owner/trainer at Cascade Crossfit. She is married to firefighter Kyle Jacobson and the couple has a baby daughter named Lyla.

Adorable pictures huh! The Jacobson’s have left their home located 30 miles east of Seattle in the Cascade Foothills- for now, As investigators are now trying to find out why the residents were targeted by the intruder. Authorities don’t believe the Jacobson’s knew him.
A neighbor called the family “good people.” A frightening first mother day for Tennyson and her family to say the least, we are glad the family is unharmed.
