Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss
Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss is a fashion designer and the former girlfriend of actor and comedian Jerry Seinfeld, they dated back in 1993 when Seinfeld was 38 and Shoshanna was 17.
Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss was born on May 29, 1975 in Manhattan, New York to Infocrossing’s CEO Zach Lonstein and Betty Lonstein. She graduated in 1993 from Nightingale-Bamford School for girls in New York City’s Upper East Side. She also attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and the University of California in Los Angeles from where she graduated in 1997 with a double bachelor’s degree in history and art history.
In 1998, with a loan from her dad, Shoshanna started her clothing company, her mission was to design clothes for different body types, her swimwear was launched in 2001, and BabyGirl Swimwear in 2005, in 2009 she became the face of Judith Ripka’s advertising campaign, that same year Shoshanna and Charlotte Ronson her close friend created their swimwear Made with Love a year later she teamed up with Judith for the creation of her jewelry line that sold in QVC. In 2013, became Style Director for Elizabeth Arden, Inc.
In February, 2014 Shoshanna designed a one-of-a-kind I Love NY T-shirt with all proceeds directly benefitting Save the Garment Center in partnership with Century 21 and Save the Garment Center, in the Summer of 2014 she teamed up with Club Monaco for the creation of The Shoshanna for Club Monaco capsule collection, that same year she was guest contributor for Piperline.
Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss started dating Jerry Seinfeld in 1993 and dated for the next four years, after that she dated John Barrett before she met Martin D. Gruss’ son Joshua Carl Gruss to whom she got married to on May 10, 2003. Joshua Gross partner of the New York based investment firm Gruss & Co is also CEO of Round Hill Music. Shoshanna gave birth to the couple’s first child Sienna in 2005, and in 2012 to their twins Angelica and Joseph Colby. Sadly Shoshanna & Joshua Gross split up in November, 2014 and eventually divorced that same year.
