Meet Margaret DeVogelaere is the lovely wife of actor, writer, director, producer, activist, and philanthropist, Peter Fonda.



Margaret’s husband who is the son of late film legend Henry Fonda and the younger brother of Jane Fonda, earned notoriety appearing in films such as The Wild Angels and The Trip. His mother, Frances Seymour Brokaw, committed suicide when he was 11.

The New Yorker born Peter Seymour Fonda on February 23, 1939; later starred in the 1997 film Ulee’s Gold, which earned him an Academy Award nomination for best actor.

Peter who attended the University of Omaha debuted on Broadway at the age of 21 in a production of Blood, Sweat and Stanley Poole. In 1963, he made his first Hollywood film, Tammy and the Doctor, starring Sandra Dee.

In the late 60’s he became a cultural landmark after he produced and starred in Easy Rider as Wyatt “Captain America” Earp. He has also appeared in the movies “3:10 to Yuma” and “Ghost Rider,” and played himself in a documentary that premiered at Cannes in 2011. On the small screen, he played a corrupt retired cop in the TV drama “CSI: NY.”

On the personal side, Peter Fonda has been married a total of three times. He was first married to Susan Brewer from 1961 to 1972. They have two children; Bridget and Justin. Bridget Fonda is also an actress.

He married second wife, Portia Rebecca Crockett (also known as Becky McGuane) in 1975. The two divorced in 2011.

That same year he and third and current wife, Margaret DeVogelaere tied the knot. He and his Hollywood screen legend husband tied the knot in June of 2011 in Hawaii. Fonda was 71 at the time while Margaret was 57.

Margaret DeVogelaere who also goes by Parky DeVogelaere dated Fonda for a few years before tying the knot. Peter who was battling lung cancer died from respiratory failure caused by lung cancer on August 16, 2019. He was 79.
