Kristy Villasenor is the wife of police officer Patrick Zamarripa, one of the five Dallas police officer killed during a shooting by the hand of Micah Xavier Johnson. Officer Zamarripa is survived by his wife Kristy Villasenor and their two young children.
Kristy Villasenor’s husband Patrick Zamarripa, always texted back his father Rick Zamarripa, after his usual text about his whereabouts.
“Hey, Patrick,” “Are You Ok?” His father text would ask him.
“Yes, dad. I’ll Call you Back.” Patrick would text back.
Sadly Rick Zamarripa didn’t have any response from the text he send his son after hearing about the shooting in Dallas, he called his daughter in-law Kristy was at Texas Rangers game with her daughter, she didn’t know about the shooting, like him she rushed to the hospital where Mr. Zamarripa’s worst nightmare awaited.
“How’s Patrick?” he asked an officer.
“He wouldn’t tell me,” Rick said. “He had that look on his face. I knew.”
Patrick Zamarripa had survived three tours in Iraq, he turned down a job with the Immigration and Naturalization Service, instead he was doing a job as a bike officer, the job was for sure something he enjoyed doing.
“He comes to the United States to protect people here,” his dad said. “And they take his life.”
Officer Zamarripa, 32, was married to Kristy Villasenor who gave birth to their daughter Lincoln in 2013, Patrick became stepfather of Kristy’s son Dylan who he loved as his own.
