Jayni Chase is the third and current wife of “Saturday Night Live” alum Chevy Chase. Her 72-year-old husband has allegedly entered rehab, according to outlets.



Accoridng to gossip site TMZ, Chase was admitted to the Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center in Minnesota for alcohol-related problems.

According to his Wikipedia page, back in the the late 80’s Chase was admitted to the Betty Ford Clinic for treatment of an addiction to prescription painkillers.

Cornelius Crane “Chevy” Chase was born October 8, 1943. According to online info, the New Yorker was born to a prominent book editor father and a concert pianist, mother.

Chase was expelled from Riverdale County School. Later, he became a pre-med in college, played as a drummer in a jazz band and worked as a bartender.

Chase found fame as a witty Saturday Night Live comic. He gained fame for his impressions of President Ford and for laying the foundation for the Weekend Update skit, which became a popular segment on SNL for years to come.

He later jumped to the movie world and starred in a number of films, including Vacation, Caddyshack and Fletch. One of his most recent projects was playing the role of Pierce Hawthorne on the comedy series Community from 2009 to 2014.

Jayni’s famous husband was married twice before he found her. Chevy Chase was first married to Suzanne Chase, from 1973 until 1976. That same year he wedded second wife,  Jacqueline Carlin. The couple tied the knot in 1976 but also ended in divorce after a year in a half of marriage.

Jayni Chase was born Jayni Luke. The lovely blonde who originally hails from California, is a writer and the founder of the Center for Environmental Education. She studied Communications at UCSB.

She is known for her work on National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983), LEED by Example (2008) and The Annual Tel Aviv Gala Presents a Salute to Goldie Hawn (1987).

The couple has been married since June 19, 1982. She is the mother of the couple’s four children. Daughters Caley Leigh Chase, Cydney Cathalene Chase, Emily Evelyn Chase. Her husband is also the father of son, Bryan.

However, is clear Jayni’s path is much more different than the Hollywood’s flashlights and glam.
Jayni founded the Center for Environmental Education in 1988. For eleven years the Center operated out of Antioch NE Graduate School in Keene, NH. In 2008, it moved to Unity College in Unity, Maine.

Jayni Chase is known for her dedication to environmental health, safety and education. According to her profile on the Center for Environmental Education, Jayni Chase has served on numerous Boards, including, Friends of the Earth, the Antioch New England Institute, Mothers & Others for a Livable Planet, Global Green USA, Californians Against Waste and The Coalition for Clean Air.

The wife and mother of three, served a two-year term 2002-2003 as the Chair of the Board of Directors of Friends of the Earth and in 2004 she was awarded an honorary degree in Environmental Studies from Antioch New England Graduate School for her work in the field of environmental education. Her extensive awards include recognition from the National Resources Defense Council, The Environmental Media Association, the Crittenton Center, Women For, the Rainforest Alliance, the U.S. Environmental Film Festival and she shared the Celebrity Fight Night Humanitarian Award of 2005 with her husband, Chevy Chase. In 2004 and 2005 Jayni received the Audubon Women in Conservation Award and the Thorne Ecological Institutes Environmental Award respectively.

In 2014, Jayni’s father, Frank Luke passed away. Jayni Chase and her husband reside in Bedford, New York.
