Gail Hough is the devastated wife of Georgia businessman, Jack Hough –who was killed earlier this week.

Gail’s husband, a well-known businessman and philanthropist was shot and killed in a CVS parking lot on February 7^th. At the time 73-year-old Jack was waiting for his wife Gail who was inside the pharmacy.

According to reports, Jack was shot in the chest by an unidentified man who is believed approached him in an attempt to rob him. Mr. Hough was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

James Jackson “Jack” Hough was born July 19, 1945 in Decatur, Alabama. Jack graduated with a degree in accounting from the University of Alabama and also earned a Masters in Banking from LSU. According to an obituary, he served in the Air Force.

After working in the banking industry for nearly a decade, he moved to Georgia to work for Innsbruck Realty, Inc in Helen. But soon he entered the restaurant business. An entrepreneur at heart, he would expand from a single yogurt shop to the Main Street Eatery a few years later. His next move was entering outlet centers. In the early 2000’s he changed the name to MSE Branded Foods. Since then, the company has become an industry leader.

In addition he and his wife are well-known in the community for their charity efforts, including involvement with “We Care.”

Gail is a board member at The Arts Council –an organization that helps the Arts flourish in Northeast Georgia.

The lovely and elegant blonde was born Gail Attaway Davis in Cochran, Georgia. She attended Cochran High School and studied at Georgia State University.

She and Jack had been married since November 22, 2014. In addition to Gail, he is also survived by a son, Brandon Hough.
