Cara Mund is the young woman who has made history by becoming the first ever North Dakota contestant to be crowned Miss America.
Miss Dakota 2017 Cara Mund won the coveted Miss America 2018 crown on Sunday. Miss Mund made quite the impact in the judges. She might be in her early 20’s but Cara Mund has been described as having an admirable, charitable heart.
She has been the lead organizer of a fashion show that raises money for the Make A Wish Foundation for the last 10 years and has raised over $78,000 to help fund wishes for 23 kids in North Dakota, according to the Willston Herald.
The nerve-racking moment of the question, Cara sailed thought it like a champ. She answered not one but two panel questions. For the “final question,” Mund, was asked about climate change; was the United States withdrawing from the Paris Agreement a good decision? In her answer, she didn’t hesitate to disagree with President Donald Trump.
Besides her intellect and beauty she showed everybody her jazz skills. Cara who is a national dance champion and has trained four summers with the famed Rockettes –danced to Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel.”
Mund won the Miss North Dakota title back in June, it happened to be her fourth and final time competing in the state-wide competition.

Cara who was born in 1994 and hails from Bismarck, North Dakota, is also an Ivy League college graduate. She attended Brown University, graduating in 2016 with a degree in Business Entrepreneurship and Organization.
She is actually a veteran when it comes to pageants. Cara began her pageant competing career at age six. She has under her belt North Dakota crown titles including Little Miss, Miss Pre-Teen and Miss Junior Teen. She also won Miss North Dakota’s Outstanding Teen in 2010.
The gorgeous brunette is currently planning to attend Notre Dame in order to pursue her Juris Doctor degree.
Along with the Miss America crown, she receives a $50,000 scholarship for her win, a six-figure salary and an appearance contract with Dick Clark Productions. So you wonder, what else could this 23-year-old be missing? Perhaps a boyfriend? Because it appears to us that lovely Cara is currently single.
