Alphy Hoffman has been named by former child actor, Corey Feldman as one of several men who sexually abused him as a child actor in Hollywood 80’s. Hoffman is the third alleged abuser that Feldman has publicly identified.
During an appearance on Dr. Oz last week, Feldman now 46, known for starring in The Goonies, Gremlins and Stand by Me –revealed his former assistant Jon Grissom as one of his alleged abusers. Then while on Megyn Kelly Today, Feldman also named child talent manager and convicted sex offender Marty Weiss, as his second abuser.
On this week’s sitting with Dr. Oz, Corey was showed a picture of Alphy Hoffman and he immediately identified him saying “He was the guy who ran Alphy’s Soda Pop Club.”
Alphy Hoffman ran Alphy’s Soda Pop Club in Hollywood from 1986 to 1989. It was an exclusive, private club for under-16s working in film and television. The kids would have access to a dancefloor and free-flowing soda, according to Jennifer Juniper Stratford, a woman who attended Alphy’s and wrote about the club in 2012 for Vice.
Corey said if you were a teen actor in the 80’s Alphy’s Soda Pop Club was the place to be. For a small time, it was the hottest space in Hollywood. All the stars were there. Alyssa Milano, Tori Spelling, Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Scott Grimes, Christina Applegate. They danced all night long. He added there weren’t a lot of parents at these parties.
According to IMDb, Hoffman has a producer credit on the 1970s comedy New Love, American Style. Alphy Hoffman is named in numerous outlets as the son of Bobby Hoffman. His father Bobby Hoffman—who died in 1993—was a prolific casting director in the 1970s and 1980s who worked on shows such as Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days and Joanie Loves Chachi.
This fact, according to Corey made Alphy very popular, in fact according to Corey it was an honor to be invited to one of Bobby’s parties and being picked up personally by Alphy Hoffman, his son, was also considered a very big deal.
However, Corey also revealed that down the line, he learned Alphy was not Bobby Hoffman’s son. It turned out that Alphy Hoffman was actually Alphy Rivas and was in fact, Bobby’s lover. Corey told how he first met Alphy when he was only 12-years-old and added that by the time he molested him he was 14, explaining there was an stablished three-year friendship between them –which made Corey think they were ‘really good buds.’
However, what nobody or at least no parent imagined was the secret sexual society within the club and that Feldman talked about in his 2013 Coreyography. In it, Corey wrote about a “private social space for famous teens.” And also said pedophilia was the biggest problem facing Hollywood.
Feldman said last week there are six men in total that he suspects of pedophilia, including an “A-lister” who he fears might kill him.
